Dad Feet's Legacy
Dad Feets' Annex is a new addition to the SandBox. It is small - a little over 300 square feet and so can only accommodate 1-2 people - with the following amenities:
queen-sized sofa/sleeper kitchenette (full-sized fridge, sink, electric kettle, microwave)
private bathroom with shower stall
private entrance/patio
closet
large-screen TV
AC/heat & ceiling fan
ground floor
Sorry, no pets.
The annex is currently being reserved as a guest/family/musicians/artists/caretaker cottage and is not available for rent
Don "Dad Feets" Wierenga passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2009. He built the annex pretty much single-handedly in the four months prior to his death, with the fond hope that he would be able to spend many happy winters here on SPI with his middle daughter, Lucinda.
The fates are sometimes very cruel. Too cruel. I wake up every day missing him and go to sleep every night feeling the same way.
He was an amazing man who touched so many lives.... and he definitely left his mark on the SandBox in so many ways.
